Inspirasia grantee PUSPADI Bali implement Work From Home scheme
Since March 2020, PUSPADI Bali has implemented "work remotely from home” as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Bali. Puspadi Bali is developing their services to focus more on monitoring clients remotely and improving their supporting tools through mobile communication. This is being done by Pak Darma, one of Puspadi Bali’s field workers. He used to conduct field visits, but has now begun to focus on contacting clients one by one to monitor them virtually.
Based on field workers reports, many people with disabilities are also economically and psychologically affected by the outbreak of COVID-19 in Bali. Aside from providing mobility aids, PUSPADI Bali, through the work of Pak Darma, also gives them motivation, and collaborates with other organizations to facilitate the needs of these people with disabilities during this difficult time.
The workshop team is also providing over-the-phone assistance to their clients and continuing with some production from their own houses, such as making straps for Ankle-foot orthosis. Meanwhile, the management team is focusing on administrative tasks related to activities report, finance, communication, and planning. In collaboration with Maybank Foundation, PUSPADI BALI is also providing capital loans so that their clients’ livelihood & businesses can survive during this time.
