ALC NGO Training Series: Free Internet and Support for Students with Disabilities

The celebration of Indonesia’s independence in August always motivates people to move forward. Despite the pandemic, the education system in Indonesia also strives to find ways to move forward, this time, through online education. Unfortunately, not everyone can access online education, as internet might not be affordable for most people, especially for families with financial challenges. This situation also applies for students with disabilities at YPK Bali. Putra is among the students who couldn’t join YPK’s online education as his parent aren’t able to provide internet for him

Through ALC NGO Training series, The Annika Linden Centre was able to raise funds from the participants to help children, like Putra, have access to online education. The funds raised from joining the training series are being used to buy internet for children with disabilities who do not have internet.

"I am happy now that I am able to join YPK Bali online classes again. With the help of this internet, I can study together with my friends and meet my teachers. Thank you to the participants of ALC NGO Training Series who have allowed me to continue my study!” says Putra.

The Annika Linden Centre NGO Training series is biweekly training series, connecting experts and professionals with fellow NGOs and social entrepreneurs, allowing knowledge sharing to help NGOs further their impact.
