Dian undertakes Internship through DNetwork
Dian Parwati Ningsih, a deaf friend who is currently participating in the SAMA Internship Program, which is a collaboration between DNetwork and GIZ, was happy to undergo the internship process at Hotel Indigo Seminyak, Bali. During the process leading up to the internship, Dian Parwati Ningsih experienced a job interview for the first time, which she felt was an inspiration for when she looks for work in the future. The communication barrier that she experienced with her colleagues when she first started working did not become a problem during her internship as one of the Culinary Staff at Hotel Indigo Seminyak, Bali. Dian soon learnt to interact with colleagues through other means of communication, such as using short writing on paper or a cell phone.
Since starting her internship in November until now, Dian has felt quite comfortable doing her job as a member of the Culinary Staff at Hotel Indigo Seminyak, Bali. Even Dian's colleagues have been very open to guiding her and also adjusting to communicating with her as a disabled worker at Hotel Indigo.
Dian’s current Internship Program is such a good experience for her as preparation for the world of work after she completes her final year of education at SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar.
